La Roque Saint-Christophe is an ideal site for group visits. We have a dedicated free parking lot for coaches.
Your visit can be self-guided using the signposted tour route, or guided by one of our many expert guides.
School fees
La Roque Saint-Christophe is an ideal site to visit with your students. Occupied from prehistoric times right up to the early Renaissance, the cliffs’ long history and continuity of occupation mean that they cover a large part of your school’s curriculum. We offer a range of self-guided and guided tours, as well as edutainment workshops. Our site is sheltered from both sun and rain, and we have a bus parking area and a protected picnic area to welcome you in case of bad weather.

Your guide takes a detailed look at the various points of interest in La Roque-Saint-Christophe. The site comes to life, and its secrets are gradually revealed as you discover them. Your guide’s commentary is adapted to each age category.

GUIDED TOUR + DRUM WINCH DEMONSTRATION – 1H30
Children
La Roque-Saint-Christophe is equipped with life-like reconstructions of civil engineering machines. The drum winch, or squirrel cage, is an emblematic machine on the site, with its large three-meter-diameter wheel. The guide will explain how it works in detail, and you can watch a demonstration of its use, with load lifting.
